某天，Jasper 發現了一顆豆子，決定親手種植。他每天細心照料：星期一挖洞、星期二種下豆子、星期三澆水、星期四除草、星期五追趕鳥兒、星期六修剪豆苗。然而，到了星期日，他發現豆子依然沒有發芽，感到非常失望，甚至想要放棄。

就在他準備放棄時，豆子終於發芽，並迅速長成一棵高大的豆莖，直達雲端。Jasper 興奮地認為自己可以像故事中的 Jack 一樣，爬上去見到巨人。

到底哪一天種子才會發芽呢？

第二本書則是讓孩子思考, 什麼動物不應該出現在樹上？什麼動物不應該出現在雪地？沙漠？… 孩子們都很眼尖，從封面就看出了好多不合邏輯的地方，真心很喜歡看到孩子們認真的樣子～ 雖然也有不太受控的時候，但大部分的時間，孩子們一起開心唱歌、聽故事，還能回答老師的問題時，老師都欣喜不已呀！
